Hi! I’m Cynthia Frage.
Greetings, I’m Cynthia Frage, a graduating Broadcast Journalism scholar with a Political Science minor at Florida A&M University. Originally from West Palm Beach and a child of Haitian immigrants, I’m deeply committed to activism and community engagement, organizing events and advocating for marginalized communities. Despite being introverted, my journey at FAMU has helped me grow personally and professionally, fueling my passion for journalism and politics.
I look forward to continuing to learn, collaborate, and drive positive change. Let’s connect and make a difference!
My journey here at FAMU has allowed me to grow into who I aspire to become.
I knew that I wanted to go into politics and become a future Press Secretary but I did not know where to start. In Spring 2024 I was granted an internship with the Press Secretary of the Minority Office, Jossie Barroso at the Florida Capitol. This is where I learned social media management skills and tapped into my creativity.
I then went on to intern at Children Services Council of Boynton Beach, Summer 2024. This is where I learned about Business Journalism. I tracked, recorded, and analyzed the organizations activities and changes that took place. I interviewed staff and produced a document on their ‘Journey to Racial and Ethnic Equity.’
My career goal is to center marginalized voices through my writing and social media platforms. I want to do this by getting into political spaces and calling out our representatives for change.
